Jonathan Curtiss, President| top

Jonathan is the Founder and co-Founder of two companies focused on management consulting, raising capital and market entry business development for technology start ups in Europe and Israel. With over 15 years of experience focused primarily on the Defense, Aerospace and Technology markets, Jonathan also currently sits of the Board or Advisory Board of a number of companies ranging from a Gesture Recognition company, a pan-European Human Resources firm and a reader-free smart card technology start up. Jonathan is a graduate of the Oxford School of Business.

 

Mario Neves, Senior Vice President, Marketing & Sales| top

Mario brings 18 years of experience in business, strategic management and international sales and marketing. Mario has earned a reputation for his expertise in negotiating and managing complicated commercial transactions and working in multi-cultural environments.


Prior to joining Lumio, Mario worked as a business executive focusing in business development with companies such as Nokia, Motorola, Radisys, BMW, and ARM.  Before moving to the
United States in 1994, Mario lived most of his life in Europe and the Middle East, and is a graduate from The Université de Reims, in Champagne, France with a BSc in Enology. Mario has also completed the Stanford Executive Program in Strategy and Organization at Stanford, School. of Business University

 

Mario is fluent in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Hebrew, and has conversational skills in Arabic and German.


Klony Lieberman, Chief Scientist| top

Since joining Lumio at its inception, Klony has been responsible for research and development activities as well as maintaining and growing the company’s IP portfolio.  Prior to joining Lumio, Klony was co-founder and CTO of the Nanonics group of companies where he oversaw the development of the world’s first commercial near-field scanning optical microscope. Klony is an expert in advanced optical imaging techniques and has 20 years experience in optical system design and manufacture. He has authored over 40 scientific papers in the worlds leading journals and holds numerous patents.  Klony received his PhD in Applied Physics and Electro-Optics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1993.


Dan Gunders, Vice President Engineering| top

Dan is responsible for all product, engineering and development activities. Prior to joining Lumio, he was director of system design & integration for Flextronics Semiconductor, where he was responsible for the SoC business in Europe, including engineering, sales, and marketing. He has more than 17 years of hands-on experience in the design of electronics systems – both at the silicon and system levels. In 1994, Dan founded Sagitta Engineering Solutions, a design engineering contracting company that developed complete custom systems (algorithms, electronics, optics, s/w and mechanics) for companies in the gaming/entertainment, industrial and telecommunications sectors.

 

Dan has also held various positions at Orbit Semiconductor, Eldat Ltd. Infrared Technologies, Ophir Optronics Ltd. Electro Optics Measurement and Gamatronics Ltd. In 1988 Dan received a BSc in both electrical engineering, and physics and computer technology from Ben-Gurion in Israel. University

 

Amichai Turm, Founder and CTO | top

Amichai has over 20 years experience in software development. Prior to co-founding VKB (as Lumio was originally named), Amichai was CEO of "Tafnit", a software development company that has been involved in a wide range of projects for large corporations and government agencies.


Amichai was the project manager for 

Israel's largest government computing platform project - implementation of new smart card-personal identification system. Prior to the above, Amichai served as an assistant to the Board of directors of Bezeq - the Israeli telephone provider.
